Meet Our Founder
Tonya Kreml
I have been a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for over 35 years and have worked extensively with the geriatric population, particularly in the short term rehab setting. My focus outside of therapy treatment has been assisting families and clients to make decisions regarding home safety, functional mobility, and alternative living situations.
Recently, I left my full time position to care for my parents and now my father-in-law. I am well aware of the struggles faced by families as they try to help their loved ones.
As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, I was able to provide my mom with ways to manage her life while also educating my dad on how to be her caregiver. I furthered my education to become a Certified Senior Home Safety Specialist as a way to fill the gap in healthcare and assist others with "aging in place" and doing so as safe as possible. We even modified our home to accommodate my father-in-law, who uses a wheelchair.
My therapy skills provide me with a unique knowledge of not only how to modify a home but also how to do so given various physical challenges a client may have. My goal is to assist clients by decreasing their fall risk in the home through simple modifications as well as providing vital education to clients and their families as they navigate their loved one's healthcare needs.
